Being STRONG
Strong, as defined in dictionary.com (because who actually has an ‘old-school’ dictionary these days??):
having, showing, or able to exert great bodily or muscular power; physically vigorous or robust: a strong boy.
accompanied or delivered by great physical, mechanical, etc., power or force: a strong handshake; With one strong blow the machine stamped out a fender.
mentally powerful or vigorous: He may be old, but his mind is still strong.
especially able, competent, or powerful in a specific field or respect: She's very strong in mathematics. He's weak at bat, but he's a strong fielder.
of great moral power, firmness, or courage: strong under temptation.

While that definition might help to put “strong” into context, what exactly does it mean to be strong?
By aggressively attacking? No, that’s physical strength which is akin to bullying.
By guarding your emotions? Now you’re cutting yourself off from who you really are.
By never failing at a task or goal? Except how do you learn and, more importantly, how do you keep up that level of perfection?
Am I strong because I’m a woman who rides a Motorcycle? I certainly believe that I am stronger for it.
Do you have to be tested to know that you are strong? Sometimes.

To me, the picture above embodies true strength. A Ukrainian Woman gives tea & some bread to a Russian soldier, and allowing him to call his family back home. She is comforting a man who is invading her country and was given the order to kill the very person giving him solace.
Rather than let anger or hatred take control, she is truly showing just how strong she is.
The STRENGTH of Kindness. How powerful is that??
And that kind of strength is just what the world needs.
